Met a friend of yours at the over-look on US 129 The Dragon friday evening. He told me over and over and over and over about how he smoked your Valkyrie with his Goldwing. The lady with him I don't think was his wife cause all she talked about was her husband  Undecided  She claims she knows the folks that own the farm where the Skynyrd plane went down and can get us in ....I told her about you showing us the site a few years ago. She also claimed a family member was there the day it went down and he stole a suitcase full of clothes from the crash that he still has today. You made the highlight of that dudes life when he out ran you  Smiley  He was in a cool ol'car don't remember what he said it was I told him " I wish you had your Wing we could see how it hangs with my Valkyrie in these curves " .

Picture below taken outside of McComb, Mississippi and few years ago the farm is the site of the Lynyrd Skynyrd plane crash.

Joe, you know you can't listen to those Goldwing boys, they embelish! I'll bet Warlock has a whole 'nother story as it pertains to that particular Wing encounter. Besides you know that Warlick can ride like the wind. The only way a Wing outran him is if he ran out of gas! I think you just wanna get a rise out of David! I think it'll work!

" No Rise " on my part ....If that dude told me once he told me 10 times about the " race " detail for detail ....How he was changin' gears ...How he would use his body to lean for max horsepower etc etc.  I've rode with David several times and yes he's one of the better rider's I've had the pleasure to share the wind with.David ( far right ) picture taken the day Rick V went down on The Tail Of The Lizard near Columbia , Mississippi.

Yep, they don't come no better than David. He may be o/s though, I tried to call him yesterday n didn't get an answer. We'll get the rest of the story when he logs on though, of that I'm certain.

other than Rick going down, that was a great weekend.  I still laugh though when I see myself in the background, still wearing my pajama pants.  We didn't have time to change, we just jumped in Flip's truck after we got the call.

He got me on top end only. 1/4 and 1/8 belonged to me. He did get me one time when I smoked the rear car tire 40 feet. That's right car tire smoking 40 feet. And I was on my 98 Blue and Cream which isn't as fast as the Black one. His bike runs good and still working on the 98 model. Leaning out on top end. Looking into a couple things on that.

Thread hijack.

One of the strangest things that has ever happened to me was when Rick crashed.

I came around the bend to see Rusty's Wing on the side of the road. As I was braking hard I saw Rick on the bank of a small stream with Rusty. Rick's bike was in the stream.

Having stopped I asked Rusty if he'd called 911. He told me he had no service right there. I whipped out my phone - T Mobile - and got through to 911. Handed the phone to Rusty so he could give directions.

MY T MOBILE SERVICE SUCKS AS SOON AS I'M AWAY FROM A METRO AREA.

As soon as Rusty hung up I tried calling Punisher and others to tell them what happened. No service. I tried over an over and over. No service. I must have walked up and down the section of road where Rick was for about 20 minutes trying to make calls. How my phone connected to 911 I have no idea.

I never knew that.  Divine intervention is what I believe.
