Hello ,

I can buy a nice COBRA lightbar, but I am not too sure if I will like it once mounted on my '99 standard.

Can someone post pictures of that Cobra lightbar mounted on the bike - picture from side and the front.

I drive 99,9% without a windshield, I think the lights of the Cobra stand too far to the outside, not close enough to the headlight to be nice.

Where I live there are no Valkyries

Which light bar are you looking at? There seem to be quite a few different Cobras, that work. One that's very popular, but not made any more, is the "separate" ones, like this:

Then there's ones similar to this:

I'm in the same boat, looking for a nice one.

Thanks for the pictures - the one that I can get is the cobra on the first photo- but when I see it so without the windshield (like I drive the most), then I find the 2 additional lights of the lightbar much too far to the outside to be nice.

Of course, if they stand closer to the headlight then propably the OEM windshield will ot fit anymore.

I think I leave the COBRA where it is and will mount small lights under the bar that protects the motor. This will we nicer I think??

I mounted Kuryakin Mini spots on top of the crashbar. I also have the 2 piece Cobras.

side view

and I can understand why you feel the lights are too far to the outside without a shield.  I have the Cobras and PIAA lights on top of engine guard next to radiator.

Gear Jammer,

your outfit with the cobra's is very nice in combination with your windshield!

That I really like, but I run without a shield or in rare occasions with the norma OEM shield and there I find the cobra-lights indeed not so super as they stand too much to the outside.

Do you have picture of your second PIAA-lights ?

Perhaps I could mount a pair under the engine guard, on top does not go anymore because at the left I have my rivco airhorn mounted on top of the engine guard, so that place is already taken.....

How about this light bar?

Got it here......

http://www.directlineparts.com/product.asp?pid=2403&str=2

It's an easy install....and the stock OEM windshield can be taken on and off without any problems.  My windshield comes and goes all the time....currently it's off the bike.
