Does anyone know where I can take my 99 IS to have the fork oil check or service of any kind in Western NC??  I live in Franklin and have called a couple of places that say they are Honda dealers and ask me what a Valkyrie was????  I could not believe I was hearing right.  I'm afraid to take it to just anyone..
thanks..

You are justified in your concerns.  Best thing to do is stay on this board and see if a member can help you.  We have some good wrenches here.  I'm probly not one of the best, but if you were in Kansas I'd take a look for you.  Hoser

There's a Honda shop/Powersports type place on 441 somewhere between Otto and Franklin. I stopped
in there on my way to ride the Cherohala a couple of years ago. At that time the owner rode a
Valkyrie, and seemed like a nice guy. His black Valkyrie was sitting on the front sidewalk.

I had a fork seal swapped out while on the road earlier this month at a Schroaders Honda in Hendersonville NC. The owner has 4 valks. In and out in 1.5 hours.  Also used Wilkes Honda in Wilkesboro NC several years ago for a blown rear bearing riding the Blue ridge. Both good service. cooldude

Thanks for all the replies...the one in Franklin doesn't do alot and thier sister dealer is the one that didn't know what a Valk was........the one in Waynesville had new people working in service and they are the ones that told me they weren't sure about checking the fork oil......
thanks anyway...for all the advise.

Great!!  Thanks!!  I will check out Hagens...rather drive a distance than end up with problems from someone that doesn't know what they are doing.

Thanks to all...suzie

Wilkes Honda is no longer open. They sold out to the another dealer and is now up on hwy. 421 out of wilkesboro. Last time I was there they said they didnt have much to do with them.
