The rubber strap that holds the battery cover on my 2001 Valk Interstate looks like it has a spot to hold a spare fuse - is there supposed to be a fuse there?
Thanks,
Jon

I have the same on my 99 I/S, but there was no fuse in it when I bought it and I never bothered putting one in... I guess it could turn out to be helpfull though...

My two valks have a 30 amp fuse in that space.

My two valks came with a  30 amp fuse in the strap.

It's my understanding that the strap is a carry over from another bike which used full size atc fuses.  I think the only atc fuse is on the starter relay.  All the other fuses are mini atc.

I also have a small container of fuses that I carry.

Hope that explains it.

Thanks for the responses!!  I thought that the strap was a carry-over from other models but, having purchased my Valk Interstate used, I wasn't sure if there was supposed to be a fuse in there or not.
Thanks again,
Jon
