Me and my Valk at Freedom Rock

« on: July 31, 2010, 09:13:14 PM »

Bout a week and a half ago someone posted a video about a buffalo charging a valkyrie.

Told my wife about the video as we were heading into Custer State Park.

Later that day, as we came to the end of the "Wildlife Loop" road, we came to the crest of a hill and toward a T intersection below, rolling into a herd of Buffalo on the road and tremendous traffic jam.

A couple of them thought it would be hillarious if they charged our bike. They pulled up with inches to spare.

Had a car stopped in front of me, cars stopped going both ways down the intersecting road (Hwy 16 I believe)

Couple of 'em walk by, get a little behind us, turn and charge! (my wife is on the back yelling (at me) "Go, Go, Go!) but by that time they have had their fun and moved on. We still sit there for another 10 min. to let the rest of the herd waltz on by.

The looks on the faces of the other drivers around us was priceless. Must have been a hell of a show.

Pretty big rush for sure.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.
