CB Noise Filter??
«

Just added a CB to my Interstate. I know there was a filter that plugged in somewhere under the right side cover to minimize, or eliminate the electronic noise, but I don't know what it is, where it plugs in, and if dies the trick. I saw in my service there's a noise filter on the fan already, but this one will help the CB since the radio and MP3 are static free. I did run the wire for the MP3 under the tank bib, and it works great, but the CB is another story. Noisy only when bike is running, not when engine off. Any help would be appreciated. thanks, TOPGUN

Hi, was it a stock I/S CB? Sounds to me like you have Alternator noise; look for a black filter on the back of your alternator; also, look on the side of the alternator for what looks like a condenser. Have you played with your squelch adjustment?

If its like the static in am radio then you will need to get different plug wires or try grounding or moving the antenna different
