Hello,  First post, long time lurker.  Proud owner of a 2000 Interstate.  Here are some pics of my fat lady.  Been a Darksider for about 35k on my second GTT, first one was replaced with 29k and half worn out when I pulled the rear wheel to replace and upgrade wheel bearings and powdercoat.  At that time became a flipsider too.  I went with the Metzler ME880 160/70/17. Comes with 9/32nd instead of the 4 on the other. A little more expensive than the Kenda that seems to be everyone's choice.  But I couldnt see going with a smaller front tire.  This site has been a wonderful blessing when it comes to information about our rides.  Thank you to all for your wisdom.

P.S.  Darkside number please!!!!

Rob

Thank you!   Look me up when you are here.  I live in Wellington Co  (North of Fort Collins)  I don't usually need much excuse to ride.

The pegs are Kuryakyn Flamin Switchblades with some modified mounts to fit on the curve of the crash bar.

The leather work is saaaaweet.  How about expanding some on all of that leather, seat, bags, side covers....the bags, and those bags.   cooldude

The seat and back rest are both Corbin.  It was showing some wear so I wanted to get it redone.  The bags are factory Interstate.  The side covers are the new ones from Valkyrie Bling.  I removed the reflectors off the bags and my Upholstery dude sewed some 1/2 in thick foam to the material he used on the bags and then stitched the flames in a light blue thread to match my pinstripes.  Seamed, wrapped and glued it all on to the bags. Gives it some depth/contour. Same treatment to the seat, backrest and side covers. He does tons of bike seats and never once had done this. So I kinda like being different.  As if a Valk doesn't get enough looks,  Not many walk by without staring.

The Guy who did it is in Eaton Colorado,  He was surprisingly inexpensive to do the job.

Welcome. From what I'm readin those bags will only be unique for a short while.
Frankly, I like it too and I'll bet, from a Tucsonan's view, they insulate well too.
