Hey EVERYONE! I just got back home from Pikes Peak. What an absolutely nice day. Nice & sunny. The road was nice & smoothe...not the usual washboard road on the unpaved parts. They were paving the road & there were LOTS of tourists. The moving was very slow. But, I am on vacation so time does not matter too much right now. If you have never been to the top of Pike's Peak near Colorado Springs, Colorado put it on your bucket list. I have ridden several bikes to the top over the years. It is a nice ride but has some EXTREME curves & some of them are unpaved so if you do decide to make that trip be extra cautious. Well, I am very hot & wore out...time to hit the spray. Ride Safe ALL!  tommy t IBA 1990

Been up there many times.  Hiked up, took the train, and the highway.  My wife used to work at the Summit House.  Glad you had a nice ride, enjoy your vacation!

BTW, how does the Pikes Peak ride compare to Mt. Evans, other that the pavement.

Mount Evans is a LOT easier ride. I rode Mt. Evans one September with a large group & down in Morrison it was quite warm but on the way up to Mt Evans it started snowing. Pretty dang cold too. Both are nice rides tho. tommy t IBA1990

Dang it..... I read the subject line and was expecting a good GI story about the Philippines (PI).   Wink

What no photos of the view and sights.....    Sad   Some of us probably won't make it here.

Sorry for the confusion. I reckon I should have spelled it out. Never been to the Philapines. Maybe someday tho.  Feels pretty good not smoking, eh? I never did. My daddy used to tell us boys not to chew, smoke & swear. I have been known to swear sometimes. There is some pretty scenery up here in the Colorado mountains. Real nice riding. Ever hear of Trail Ridge? You gotta do it sometime. Take care & ride safe. tommy t IBA 1990
