Does anyone have instructions on how to tighten the steering head bearing nut?  I've been noticing some wobble when I have hands off the bars and when the bike is on the lift. the front turns easy and bounces when going to full lock.  Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks!

I don't have nay information on tightening he bolt but you may want to do a lookup on replacing the bearings  -I have heard that the factory ones can have issues and it is better to replace them.

I think what you're noticing is kinda normal.. The bearings need to turn smoothly.. The easiest[ and best] way to check them is to hook a spring scale to one fork and measure the 'tonnage' to just start the forks moving.. It should be 1.75- 2.25 lbs..

Lift the top plate of the tree and it will be revealed.

Tighten to your hearts delight!

If you decide you need to adjust those bearings.. Tighten only to 12# on STD/Tour or 9# on IS.. Too loose and not much happens except for maybe a bit of a slight wonder.. Too tight and the bike will hunt like crazy, maybe to point of being dangerous and it will drive you nutz ..
