I have a love affair with a bumblebee

Country Rep. Norway

WWW
« on: August 15, 2010, 04:01:49 PM »

I woke up early this morning (my wife and my daughter was still sleeping) so I decided to go for a ride. I wrote a note to my wife that I was out for a short ride  Roll Eyes
I came home 9 hours later after a ride to Eikesdal.
This area is very mountainous, surrounded by peaks up to 1964 meters high, which caused the architecture in this valley to be different than that of other villages.
The natural wonder that is Eikesdal is at the southern end of Eikesdal Lake, the largest lake in Møre and Romsdal province. The lake is about 20 kilometers long and 155 meters deep.
Kleneggen (1964 m) is Eikesdal's highest mountain.
Majestic Mardalsfossen remains a tourist attraction during the summer.
The total height is 705m and this qualifies Mardalsfossen as the world's fourth highest waterfall. Free fall is 297meters

Wow, thanks for taking the time to make that.   cooldude

It looks like you guys might have been exceeding the speed limit a little toward the end.   That's OK, we won't tell. cooldude

OK, lets make a Valkyrie rider Exchange Program. That`s easy....
I`ll come over to the USA once a year and ride and you come over to Norway and ride once a year.

Thanks for the comments!!!

Absolutely beautiful.
Kinda reminds me of southwest Florida! (without the sweat)

I bet your wife will think twice about sending you to the store on your Valk, especially if she needs something in a hurry.

Words can't describe the beauty found in that part of the world, a very nice video...very well done.  Just curious if Eikesdal compares more closely to a US state or to a US city in size?

Eikesdal is a small village in the country. Stretch of road through Eikesdal is only 14 KM. The remaining stretch of road along the Eikesdal Lake is about 20 KM

There are less than 100 inhabitants in Eikesdal.

Well, it's almost as pretty as northeast Indiana, but I didn't see any cornfields and you can only see for a few kilometers. Here, we can see....well....as far as the eye can see!   2funny

Seriously, though, I'm so envious. Absolutely beautiful scenery. Very well done video, too.   cooldude

Thanks for sharing.
