Hello,

Finally I got a complete COBRA light bar - the 2 pieces each with the lamp H3.

No instructions for mounting the set - can anyone help me with the installation as after my first look at the bar I don't understand how you can loosen the nut where the light is mounted, do you need a special tool to do it?

How can you adjust the angle of the lamps to let them shine bothe the same distance or lower or higher your beam?

Do I need a relay?

All hints will be welcome - I am not an electrical specialist .......

Okay, I will use a relay then.

But how are these lamps adjusted ?  How to change the position of the 2 lamps in order to set them both at the same angle and the right angle for the lightbeam?

There's a bunch of good Valkyrie specific wiring diagrams at rattlebars.com...

I used this one from Rivco:

The nut that has the wire running through it... I purchased a cheap set of tubing wrenches (box end with a notch cut out). The 14mm end... heated it and bent it 90 degrees over so it would fit under the bottom side of the light bar to get around the wire, and get hold of the nut. Put a screwdriver through the other end to serve as a handle. Face scoot to the garage door at night about 20 feet back with lights on. Adjust spots accordingly. Yrmv,

I replaced the Cobra lights with these:
http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=&store=Main&catId=&productId=p214495&leafCatId=&mmyId=

They have a high and low beam, which I wired into the headlight with relays. I did it primarily for the look, but they're easy to adjust as well.

I like the wrench idea, good job.

I also wanted to put 2more lights as an addition to the cobra light bar - 50 Watt each - so I must put 1 relay fo the cobra bar and a second separate relay for the small lights?

Is it 1 relay for both - or each set of lights its own relay - so 2 relais ??

Two relays... whether the way I think about it is right or wrong, I don't think of them so much
as "lights", but accessories. I have numerous accessories, and I run (almost) all of them off
the 5 amp accessory wire under the side cover. Of course the 5 amp accessory wire can't hardly
run even one of these accessories, so, really, what the 5 amp accessory wire runs is the
relay associated with each accessory.

The 5 amp accesory wire does that one interrups the current when you start the engine.

When you have your headlamp on and you start the engine, then the current to the headlamp is interrupted the time you activate the starter in order to have all possible current for starting. Is this also on that accesory wire or do I take the wire of the headlamp as triggerwire for the lightbar-relay?
