There is a huge ranch in North Texas called the "6666 ranch" (four sixes ranch) that was won in a poker game with a hand of four sixes. I believe that the loosing hand was something like a straight flush. The ranch headquarters is in Guthrey, Texas. No telling what you could have won playing 7-card stud, providing there were a lot of wild cards...JTL

Maybe things are different down in Texas, but up here in Missouri, a straight flush beats 4 of a kind. Maybe he won it with a 6-shooter instead of 6’s!

Bobo, I'm sure that you are probably correct because the last poker game I played in was in a fox hole in Vietnam in 1968, playing by candle light. The firebase was somewhere in the Central Highlands over next to Cambodia. Sometime along about then, I figured out that there were more important things in life to tend to...JTL
