I would like to replace my stock windshield on my interstate, old one is in bad shape.  Here are my questions?

Which Brand is preferred?  The ones I saw were Cee Baileys, Clearview, Showchrome?
Tint?  Clear, light gray or dark gray?

I like to look over the windshield, but not get wind blasted, so the stock height is probably good.

Thanks for your opinions.

Hi Ed, I've had good luck with Clearview and have them on all three of my bikes...but from what I've seen you can't go wrong with the Cee Bailey windshield either.

I"m also looking for a new windshield for my I/S.. I kind of like the Show Chrome
that's 2" taller and 4" wider, but haven't seen it on a Valk yet. I thought I read somewhere that Clearview isn't making Valk windshields anymore, can't remember where though. I'll be watching this post for more info and opinions...

You might want to give these guys a look.  They were at InZane in Johnson City.  Their stuff is very impressive.

I had the Show Chrome (bigger/wider) windshield on my "Traveling" bike for years.  I finally switched it out for a stock sized Clear View.  The windshield is still in great shape, it's just that my traveling is done in the summer time, and blocking all that extra wind was hotter than it needed to be.  I call it my "winter windshield".

I have a Showchrome oversized, smoked shield on my I/S and am very pleased with it.

I just got rid of a Tulsa Tall windshield...it gave great wind protection, but I couldn't look over it...and the one time I got caught in a frog strangler and couldn't see through it for the water scared me so bad I ordered a Showchrome, which I had before on another I/S I owned...

Just deflowered the Showchrome on my Sturgis trip....much better....still good wind protection...normal position I look through the upper couple of inches....but can sit up real straight and look over the top edge if I need to....works for me!   cooldude

I bought the Show Chrome within a couple of days after I got my I/S to the house.  Couldn't stand the shape, so I modified it.  It is still the same height and same width.  I put two Clearviews on another bike and were pleased with them.  Those folks are easy to work with, but are too busy to ship you a windshield tomorrow...JTL

I think that mine is a clearview (bought it used) it is a little shorter than stock.  I really like the way that the tinted shield looks.

Also these guys can custom make you anything that you want.  I had them make one for my old Goldwing a few years ago and they did a great job.

Thanks for all your help, and the photos were a big help too.  This is really cool getting replies for the people we know from InZane.  I ordered a Show Chrome from JC Whitney tonight, light gray.  It should be if in a week or so. Really looking forward to getting it.

I just picked up a Green and Gray Interstate and am starting to get it cleanned up.  I put a Goodyear tripple tread on the rear, so I am getting use the the feel of a CT.

Thanks
