There are so many astounding anomolies surrounding this "president" NO ONE can be sure what to believe.  About the only thing I believe now concerning Obama, is that whatever I hear coming from Whitehouse sources is probably a lie.

After just these things......this government cannot be on our side, so why not the Saudis.......

-No real investigation into voting intimidation/voting fraud
-Not one word of multiple criminal election tamperings
-blatant disregard of the constitution multiple ways with just the healthcare bill
-how bout just the way bills get done with this guy...thousands of pages vote NOW sign it THEN read it??????
-Undermine our own oil production at a time when we have the real possibility of reducing dependency on Arab oil
-support for the victory mosque
-Obamas many many criminal and radical associations....gimme a break
-cap and trade!   Just that alone as it ties into the fraud of global warming and global wealth redistribution is enough to make my point

Roberts came down to the White House and put on his black robe on Obama's first full day in office for an unprecedented do-over at 7:35 in the Map Room

Obama joked about the turn of events.

"We decided it was so much fun . . . " he said while awaiting Roberts.

When the Chief Justice asked if Obama was ready, the president cracked: "I am, and we're going to do it very slowly."

This time, the recitation jibed perfectly with the prescribed oath and took 25 seconds. Obama raised his right hand and kept his left at his side. There was no Bible, Lincoln or otherwise.

"All right." Obama said afterward to the reporter assigned to record the event. "The bad news for the pool is there's 12 more balls."

Actually, Obama won't be donning white tie again — he's heading to a staff "thank you" party at the Washington Armory.

And he'll go as, emphatically, absolutely postively, the duly elected and inagurated President of the United States.

"We believe that the oath of office was administered effectively and that the President was sworn in appropriately yesterday," said White House Counsel Greg Craig in a statement issued by new administration. "But the oath appears in the Constitution itself. And out of an abundance of caution, because there was one word out of sequence, Chief Justice Roberts administered the oath a second time."

Roberts said the word "faithfully" in the wrong place of the oath, a mistake that Obama caught and led to a momentary bit of awkwardness in an otherwise grand ceremony.

The re-inauguration came just a few hours after Vice President Joe Biden mocked Roberts for his misstep.

“My memory is not as good as Justice Roberts,” Biden said at the swearing in of White House staffers Wednesday afternoon.

The staffers in the room laughed, but Obama stood stone faced and visibly annoyed.

Either you missed the e-mail or you didn't watch the video embedded in the first post of this thread... That would be in keeping with the impression you're giving me -- quick to respond by defending Obama without even finding out what's on the video or what the controversy is.

But now that the issue has been raised, can anyone provide documentation (like, from the Quran) to verify that the above "commandment" is as alleged?

Again, I haven't seen documentation (like from the Quran), and I'm willing to consider documentation that either supports or debunks the alleged "commandment in Islam."

The Quran seems pretty clear to me, but what do I really know?

What really blows me a way is that more people voted for obama, then voted for mccaine.  And now that he’s in office, everyone doesn’t like him!!  TOO LATE NOW!!  Should have thought of all this earlier!!  It’s not like it was a close race like gore/bush.

I was critical of Obama until the above post made me realize I was part of the problem, not the solution.  How could I have been so selfish to only consider what the current administrations were doing to my country and not consider the impact my lack of support was having on Barry and his poor family.  I'm sorry if I, in any way may have contributed to Michelle not enjoying herself in Spain.

After all, if Allah speaks only the truth, how can these contradictory truths coexist within "holy writ?"

I'm asking because I'd really like to be able (or to be taught to be able) to reconcile these apparent contradictions. Anyone wanna enlighten me?

The greatest "culture shock" in the world is to go from the western world (civilization) to the middle east (uncivilized),

I had travelled all over europe before getting sent to the middle east during the first gulf war, but nothing that I saw in any of those countries prepared me for the shock.

The middle east way of life is so different from any part of the western world that no-one who hasn't experienced their culture first hand can even begin to understand the difference.

From a western point of view their culture is backwards and ignorant, from their point of view western culture is evil and corrupt.

I don't see anyway that this cultural gap can ever be bridged, add the fact that millions of people in their culture want to destroy ours and the odds become even more unsurmountable.

After witnessing up close and personal how they live their lives and practice their religion in their part of the world I came to the following conclusion:

Muhammed went out into the desert, smoked some really good dope (maybe peyote), had a rash of hallucinations, came back wrote them all down in a book and started a religion.

Right or wrong that's "my story" and I'm sticking to it.

The prophet was illiterate.  He wrote nothing.  The Koran (or Quran) is a collection of his sayings recalled and committed to print after his death.

Islam holds that only the Arabic Quran is accurate and applicable to its beliefs.  Confronted with apparent contradictions taken from English translations, the devout muslim will simply reply, "That's not the real Quran."

The problem is Jesus was perfect and not selfish, His Word cuts like a double edged sword He is the Word of God, and The Word became Flesh and walked among us, Do you know Jesus? have you asked him into your Heart? I was a Atheist until my early 20's had a life threatening experience and dropped to my knees and ask him for help, Most of my friends are dead from my youth, i was told when i was young i would never reach 30...praise God he is real!!  I did not trust any Man or religion i only trusted Jesus, and from reading the scriptures for 30 years and many miracles i have witnessed He has shown me He is Lord....you would not believe if i told you some of the signs i have witnessed or have been involved in...But if you want to investigate the eastern Cults here is a start for ya to understand why Grace from Jesus, and love is so important, By Grace we are saved not by works.
