Why not in OUR mainstream media?  Why not on the News?  Why not in the radio?  Why not in the newspapers?

It's always about forcing our tolerance for them, raher then them denouncing their whacko fringe.

And they do, over and over, if you only bother to look for it.  Talk to your Muslim friends.  Ask how they feel.  Ask about how many services are dedicated to denouncing this behavior at their Mosque.  Read mainstream Muslim newsletters.  There’s tons of evidence out there, only if you open your eyes!
Denouncing this behavior in their mosque would be no different than their view of a Infidel in the Quran, Hey lefty you sure support the Muslims! why do all of you on the left care so much about this religion? We are All waiting for your Response? Maybe because their Hate of this Country is a common bond you share?

I hate the hate crime law. Seems like you cant fight for other reasons other then race, religion, etc. Plus it seems like only white guys are charged with hate crimes.  ???

Jabba

It IS in “our” mainstream media, also.  Simply Google “Muslims denounce terrorism”, and you will discover a plethora of media carrying this message.  Again, simply open your eyes and look!

As for “forcing our tolerance for them (Muslims)”, that directive comes mainly from the First Amendment.

Yes, of course…  And abortion doctors commit suicide to get decent, God-fearing Christians in trouble…   uglystupid2

WACKYPEDIA'S growth is sloping off and it appears it is due to the bizarre antics of some of its editors.

For years, the INQ has been saying that within Wackypedia is a closed circle of editors with blinkered worldviews who are killing off real information.

Now Ed Chi and colleagues at the Palo Alto Research Center in California have said that the number of articles added per month flattened out at 60,000 in 2006 and has since declined by around a third.

The number of edits made every month and the number of active editors both stopped growing the following year, flattening out at around 5.5 million and 750,000 respectively.

The clique within Wackypedia is shutting out casual contributors who make infrequent changes by aggressively hacking entries so that they fit their own view of the universe.

Chi said that "occasional" editors who make just a single edit a month, have 25 per cent of their changes erased, or reverted by other editors. In 2003 that proportion was 10 per cent.

Chi told New Scientist new content was being shunned by this clique deterring new editors from taking part, thus reducing the number of people available to spot and correct the vandalism that constantly threatens the encyclopaedia. µ

Remember every board has a Moderator...can you say Edit?  Wink..... What facts?

@bobt - these "FACT based topics", which can be written by anyone (so they are not necessarily facts), are edited by "experts" who have little or no credentials (and in some cases - fake credientials).

I ask you, how can someone be assured that these topics are indeed "FACT based"?

I think the "editors" are on some kind of power trip because of their editing "powers" and the fact (a veifiably true fact) that they have the last word.

I choose to use an alternate source when I need facts or information. At least with another source I have a higher probability of getting the correct information that I need or want.

Having all the world's information in one place does not make it more accurate/correct. But you go ahead and enjoy your Nap...and Believe in your Bible and stand on their word as the last word..............  Oh on a lighter note...Anyone that has used Wackypedia can see their LEFT leaning biased Opinion Just Hit Global Warming Surprise!! "Hey lefty you sure support the Muslims! why do all of you on the left care so much about this religion? We are All waiting for your Response? Maybe because their Hate of this Country is a common bond you share?"

Wow, where do you come from. You can't possibly be an American to espouse so disrespectfully about the principle this country was founded on. In case you haven't realized the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution are two very left-wing documents even in today's world. Tell me about the many countries that have institutionalized the rights protected by our Constitution. There aren't many. I consider myself to be very liberal, as were the founding fathers. I fought for a year in VN under the impression that I was fighting to uphold the ideals they cherished, and now I have to read of your disrespect of the rights guaranteed by this Constitution? As the conservative you seem to think of yourself as, you should be ashamed to trash the principles the founding fathers protected by this document.

You need not delude yourself into thinking that you are a conservative. I won't attempt to put a label on your opinions, you have every right to them. Just don't trash conservative by calling yourself one. The true conservatives I am familiar with may not agree with me on issues of importance, but they understand the difference between differences of philosophy versus differences in ideology and dogma. Try a source other than Fox for your news and try opening your mind to other views. Who knows you might learn something or are you one of those people who doesn't want to be confused by the facts?

Ruthlessrider......So Fort Hood was not a Muslim who murdered our soldiers.....A man of your military service  coolsmiley should be a little concerned...you hating all religions and all ?  YOUR Quote> I understand your anger at the event of 9/11. I don't know anyone who witnessed that act of agression that wasn't infuriated by the attack. But in the end, it is rational heads that prevail, not knee jerk reactions fueled by emotion. Over 300 Muslim employees who worked in the towers were also killed that day. This was not an act by Muslims any more than Mussolini's acts were the acts of Cotholics in the 1930s and 40s. It was an act of violence by terrorist who used religion as an excuse for cowardly acts.

Ok, so should I be standing at attention while discussing this with you, Sir?

All this rambling about some woman being treated like an animal in a country outside of the US, like we have some obligation to protect her against her own government.  Discussing your son's thesis like you wrote it personally......  Incidently, I have a nephew who is currently serving (has been to Iraq twice).  I email him regularly.  Does that make me some kinda expert about Iraq?

All of your responses are just rambling and one-sided, narrow-minded gobbledy goop.

For your amazing efforts to confuse all participants in discussing the issues I hereby bestow on you the "HARTMAN/LIMBAUGH AWARD for Excellence in Misrepresenting the Intent of Others".  Wear it proudly Sir.  You certainly deserve it!

And this is important to the topic.... why again?

If it makes you feel any better, the three fathers of my grandchildren all have BA's (and so do I).  Their sister also has a BA. One of them has a Masters.  I attribute it to their mother, though.  I would never try to ride on the coattails of their accomplishments.  I try to stand on my own laurels, thank you very much.

I assumed that we must all be trolls here, because we are all brothers, and you keep using the term on others on the board.

What really gets old is that you have to use derogatory names on people, regardless of whether they are a member or not.  It solves nothing, and suggests something about you as a person.

Also, if a nephew is a distant relative to you, you have a very small family.  My sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, etc. all mean something special to me.

Note to all my Valkyrie Brothers:

This post has gotten out of hand, and I appologize for it.  Sometimes, I see someone getting carried away and, if I am in a mood, I can't seem to turn the other cheek.  This was the case here.  I will endeavor to not answer any other comments under this topic.

Again, sorry for all the comments.
