Hard a tough time getting her going this morning kinda cold 48 degrees.  I was  11 mi into reserve. She had a hard time getting going seemed like when you first start running out of gas before you switch to reserve.  It had close to a gallon in it .  once i filledup at 4 gallons she seem to run ok. Anyone experienced this I just got this bike a week ago

Probably not engaging the choke all the way. These bikes have an enrichener circuit instead of a choke. When you push the choke down, it will move easy the first little ways, then it takes a lot of pressure to finish the engagement. Push down then push more. You can see, if you look at the carbs, the movement of the enrichners. Don't be afraid to push. Properly engaged it will fire right off. cooldude

Since you just got the bike and don't know it's history, I would pull the gas tank and remove the petcock to see if there is any crap stuck to the bottom of the screen. That would re-strict your gas flow when in reserve for sure. Simon

petcock diaphragm rebuild needed.  search my handle for part #s and about installing a snubber in the vacuum line to extend diaphragm life.
