Know what I hate?

I hate paying big money for expensive add on parts and get a cheap chrome job. I've had my parts for just 5 years and wax regularly and my chrome has pealed and rusted. Not the honda stuff, Just the aftermarket. And it doesn't seem to make any difference what company makes the stuff, it's still crap. Now I have holes in the bags and trunk that have rusty parts on. Can the chrome be repaired or redone for a price this poor boy can afford? I haven't found anywhere that will redo the stuff for much less than replacing with new. And new will have the same problem as the old stuff.

I have a friend who does plating and polishing. been in the family business like 60 years. I mailed him the brackets for a set of air wings and also the windshield trim for an electraglide classic. 35$ and he sent them back better than brand new.
  This is what he tells me. notice chrome has a "blueish" tint to it?? well, the stuff they put in it to make it blue is illegal in the state of Md. so, my chrome looks like mirror finished polished stainless steel. he guarentees for 10 years no questions asked. cant beat that, huh??? just find a local that does plating and polishing and you will be off and running. OR ship your stuff to steve and he will take care of it and you will have new like parts...for alot less. 

 Price the baker wing brackets and the chrome trim on the fairing of an electraglide. you wil see what i mean.
