I am looking at additional lighting for my 03 standard.
The Big Bike Parts light bar, that comes without installed lights but lets you fit the lights of your choice, appeals to me.
I had also heard of an "old timers trick" that aiming your lights to cross, gives you better illumination when cornering at night.

Sooooooo..........; Cheesy
What lights are the brightest and low maintenance for your buck, and has anyone aimed their lights this way?
Inquiring minds want to know? uglystupid2
Thanks
Bill

IMO, go to walmart and for $13 ($20 now) u can get chrome optima lights that use MR16 bulbs that are 50w spots. If u want floods go to any hardware store and get 12volt, MR16 floods. Google MR16 bulbs, they come either in spot or flood styles with different wattages.

look like the QH-7CC series although the latest box in the store carries the them as the burner style

Recent issue of Motorcycle consumer news just tested auxilary lights and the top rated one that had the longest light projection they ever tested, the lights went for $160. The bulb used by these lights are MR16s. They even beat out a set of HIDs.

In Response To: better yet....  (98valk)

Hey 98valk,

I did just what you said and installed the Optronics lights from Walmart. Amazing how bright they are. I wired them to always stay on except when starter button is pushed using a relay triggered by the headlight wire (blue/white).

I mounted them on the engine guards and got the "triangle" effect with the headlight.

I can see how they could obscure the front turn signals if they were under the triple tree because they are so bright.
