in my own way...I was eating lunch at the Huddle House when a Soldier came in to eat...I told the waitress I wanted to pay for his lunch but for her not to tell him until after I left....just paying it forward since Wayne treated me to lunch the other day!

Ahhh... right on!  Good on you.  I do that cassionally.  It makes you feel good huh?

I'll ask to sit and eat with them when I am at the airport too, if they are alone, then try to pick up the tab.  I'll do that with cops once in a while too, if they are alone.  Although I usually don't spring for the tab.

You're a good egg Stanley.

Just a very small token of my appreciation for them putting their Country first!......I sometimes wish I had of joined the Air Force ROTC when I was going to school at UGA....I'd have loved to travel the world......but at my age, I'd have been seeing the sand dunes...... Cheesy

I was in the navy, and I saw the inside of my submarine... San Diego, San Fransisco, Bangor Washington, Pearl Harbor and Adak Alaska.  That was it.  Nothing special there.  We're the same age I think.  I was in school during Desert Storm 1.  I watched it on CNN like everyone else.

I turned 40 in February.....I was also watching Desert Shield/Storm on TV when I was at UGA when Bush 1 was in office...I graduated in March of 1993......

maybe we could have avoided the prolonged war in Iraq if Bush Senior had of dropped a Bomb in Sadam's lap that first go round??......... Undecided

Good for you Stanley!! cooldude cooldude

Jabba, I went in and out of Pearl Harbor and Adak a couple of times also.  Just overnight to refuel.  Then out in the Bering Sea. Not much fun and sh!t weather.  Long time ago.
