OK, then why do you guys add H-D bags and fairings to your Valks?  Why do you buy H-D stock?  Why do you act and dress like an H-D rider?  Why do your feelings get hurt when an H-D rider doesn't wave back to you?  Why do you buy H-D accessories and adapt them to your bikes?  Why do you go to H-D themed rallies?

I don't do any of those things either.  HD does some good stuff.  Their bags are nice.  Electronic cruise is nice.  Self canceling turn signals.  The finishes on their bikes are pretty nice.  I don't dig the vibration, the sound, or the pricetag.  I'm not awe inspired by the lack of out of the box HP.

However I don't bash a guy JUST because he rides an HD.  I usually don't kick him till he acts like a douchbag.

LMAO...that was pretty good.   I sent it to my cousin, he and I give each other a hard time about our bikes.  He is an avid Harley rider, me, been there done that.   I even gave him a hard time about some Harley wet riding gear I bought.  He really recommended it... and it is nice gear.  But I had to tell him it leaked    Grin Grin , like his bike  2funny 2funny (neither do leak btw).

If you can't have a little fun, what the hell...

A couple of my best friends are avid HD riders and we bust on one another all the time. None of us take it seriously and I'm sure most here do not either. It's all in fun.

Yes I have a HondaDavidson and love it with HD fairing HD saddlebags and a HD beer can covering my oil filter. My bike is what Honda needs to build. My experience with izane x (first one) sure was nice to be around higher IQ's and not all the loud potato launchers making french fires. A complete different group of people. Been to many harley events and they all droll over the beast. but you still get 2% in every crowd maybe more in harley crowd. We all come together when it is time to raise money for a need. Does not matter what you ride!!

I don't do any of that stuff. The only themed rally I attend is ... InZane, staged by the VRCC.

Yup, I have a "Hondadavidson"....because some of the stuff Honda sells is either too expensive or doesn't exist. It's easier to adapt a batwing fairing than to mount an I/S fairing...and a lot less expensive. As for HD stock, don't have the extra $$ and right now probably not a good idea anyway. As for act/dress like an HD rider, what's so different about most of them. My two neighbors put their jeans on the same way I do, and as for acting different....as a rule I don't see it, based on well over 50 yrs. of riding. Yes, you do have that small percentage that ride around with their head where the majority of politicians have theirs. The waving bit, I've always received more waves from the HD rider than anyone else, even before I mounted the fairing. As for why I attend the HD rallies, I go for the same reason I go to Valk rallies or GoldWing rallies or Yamaha rallies....and on, and on, ad nauseum.

Just last night I got to zing my neighbor a bit, after he did me. I was at the end of my bicycle ride and he was sitting in his drive smoking his evening cigar...his wife won't let him in the house with it and makes him change clothes before coming in afterward. He's a big dude and she's about 5'1", and I think it's a riot....but I digress. He yelled at me; "that thing makes the same amount of noise as your Honda," referring to the bicycle. "Must be made by Honda." I said "no, it's a HD bike, every time I squeeze the right handle bar the bike slows down."  I then pulled in and sat for another 30 min. just BS'ing the evening away. We raced once, about five years ago. Strange....he hasn't challenged me since and he gets a new one about every 18 months or so. He told his wife to race me once on her bike, she just smiled and told him that he humiliates her enough with his bike.
