When I create a long post, after a little while the data bounces up and down to where ya can't read it.
You have to use the down slider to get to the cursor.
As soon as you hit a key it goes into the bouncing mode and every thing you type is there, mistakes and all. LOL
What is the cure for this?
IT does it on this board and the Temp board.
Thanks.

Mine does it also, very frustrating. Thought it was just my old electric abacus that I use for a computer was the cause.

Sounds like you might be using Internet Explorer?
If so, switch to Firefox or Chrome, see if the problem keeps happening...

What Serk says. I had posted about the problem and Scott had given the cure a few months ago. I use Chrome on one PC and Firefox on another and it cures it. IE will give the scroll issue. With IE you can view posts fine, but have the scrolling issue when posting a long post.

Try typing it in notepad/wordpad and then copy and paste it into the reply box. I learned this along time ago when sending long emails or replies. Never fails that you spend 30 minutes typing a response and hit the submit button and the website crashes.

Even Youtube if you are posting (I think it's Youtube - may be Photobucket) - Anyway, one of them will no longer support Internet Explorer either - so it's best to upgrade to another of the explorers (Chrome or Firefox). You will like them better anyway.

It only seems to do it on this and our Temp board.
I'm wondering if it is a setting somewhere that is wrong.
I've used WORD several times on long posts, just would like to eliminate that step.
Thanks for the responses.

What happens if, when you hit the jittery limit, you just hit return a bunch of times, and the scroll back to where you can type without being "at the bottom".... ?

Chrome is fast. I know of some pages that won't render with Chrome, but not many. Firefox (what I use) seems a little bloated sometimes, but I'm hooked on some of its plug ins... -Mike

I installed Chrome, played with it from early afternoon till just 5 minutes ago.
That sum a gun is too hard for this ole fart to navigate around in it.
So, it is deleted off the system,
Maybe tomorrow I might try FireFox.
Thanks everyone.

I think you will like Firefox, I have very little use for Internet Explorer. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html?from=milkhub
