Haven't seen a post from on left leaning friend Strong Eagle since the new board. Some of us could use his perspective, just to keep it a little more balanced around here. He hasn't been banned has he?

Didn't always agree with him, but he sure would light up the board with responses to his remarks.

Mr. Eagle is in the same place all the "anybody but the evil Bush-Cheney-Haliburton" folks are now. Feeling a little bit of the "what have we done" sentiment. That happens when you make important choices based on emotion rather than the radical concept of THOUGHT. While very few of us were pleased with the way Bush & Co. went about things, nor were we thrilled with McCain as the Republican nominee, we DID however know what Obama was all about. Same old worn out, doomed to fail, Euro pleasing, liberal leftist crap that will take YEARS to repair. But hey.....we got change. Wake up people, it aint about people, political parties or any one issue. It's about well thought ideas & proven concepts that should ALWAYS guide our important decisions. We've thown out the baby with the bathwater.

England wanted change and they got 10 years of Tony Blair which has completely changed the whole personality of the country.
The police force has been nearly neutered, street crime is way up, England has 25% of the worlds close circuit television cameras able to monitor you from the moment you walk out of your front door.
They want to place cameras in public places where alcohol is sold and/or consumed. Then the buggers will be able to watch you have one drink too many and be ready to bust you the moment you put the key in your car lock.
Immigration is ridiculous with Muslims treating the country as a cash cow along with the Polish flood of immigrants following their memebership into the EU.
Most English would readily abandon ship if they had the money to do so.
The Labor Party introduced a new law for every day of their term in office.
Got a burgalr alarm that can be heard over 100 yards from your home - you'll get fined.
Got a lake on your property that you take water from. You pay for using that water.
They hope to introduce a new law charging you for collecting water in rain barrels and GET THIS for any water run off fromy our roof into the sewers!!!
Got a trash bin you take to the kerb side. Better make sure it's not over weight. You're fined. They also have trash bins whith micro chips that count the amount of times the lid is opened / closed
And on it goes and only after a mere 10 years the country has changed for ever. You can never return to the good old days because younger people don't remember and never experienced the good old days.
We've got a very rocky road ahead of us.

RedValk, maybe so but it really doesn't matter. They got their man. The shoe is on the other foot now. After all the vicious hate & venom spewed by the looney left & their shallow thinking followers towards Bush & all conservatives that helped get Obama elected, I hope they get a good dose of their own medicine. The war, the economy, the GM/Chrysler mess etc are OBAMA's babies now! You guys wanted it.... You got it! Enjoy. We {true conservatives} knew what B.O. & company were all about from the start and it certainly hasn't taken him long to show his true looney left colors since taking office. Watch the sickening Euro leftist butt kissing that goes on & try to stomach the unreal idiotic anti-American talk that comes out of this "G20" summit meeting this week. I cannot believe that we can learn very much from the Europeans that we don't already know & I think it would be a TRAGIC mistake to take the U.S. down the same roads that they have taken. But that's exactly where B.O. & company are going to steer us. Same tired old failed policies guaranteed to make us all get poorer while the libs solidify their power. Will we ever learn??

I heard he's here but using a different name. Don't know if he's trying to stay away from the Political stuff or just laying low like me... I think Willow is upset with me for some of the pictures I posted so I have temporarily knocked it off and won't post those that some might find offensive, but it's hard. With this new format I can use graphics from all kinds of websites I couldn't before. Strong Eagle may show up with his new name shortly, there's another election coming up I'll try to avoid those posts, I have never been so aggravated as when dealing with someone so closed minded.

Maybe he has be assimilated! My sister has spoken to me since the election. She was trying to convince me that I HAD to "give him a chance" "be the bigger man". I reminder her that she ragged on me endlessly about GW and I fully planned on returning the favor. Never heard from her again. The holidays came and went, she won't respond at all. Her husband called me, had some questions about the Valk he just bought, but she won't speak to me. It's kinda funny, the last election GW won she didn't speak to me for months either. This is breaking her own record now. I think Barry is really the borg.

I agree with Duffy. And I laugh at comments like Skooters when he says,"I'll try to avoid those posts, I have never been so aggravated as when dealing with someone so closed minded.". If I remember correctly, he rarely avoided those posts.
Flavalk is also quite the cut up! He has condemned the whole system, administration, etc. after being in office for a mere 11 weeks! Talk about short sighted people!!!
Anyone who expects a world economy that is in the worst shape it has been in since the Great Depression of the 30's, to shape up in just 11 weeks has got to be on drugs, or so narrow minded, they have trouble seeing who they are when they look in the mirror each morning! Either that, or they are ranters, thinking they can convince intelligent people, with ignorance, that their way is the only way.

Incidently, these kind of "early negative responses" to a change, historically comes from those who are the most narrow minded.

If I remember correctly, he rarely avoided those posts. You're right, I did rarely avoid comments on closed minded left wing liberal posts. However; I also stated on this board that if Nobama did what he said he was going to do and not sign bills with a lot of pork in them and would get rid of it that I would vote for him in the next election, is that closed minded? But you yourself can see what he's done in the first 11 weeks, look how much PORK is in that stimulus bill. Now like I said...I'll TRY to avoid these posts just like Wayne has so far under his new name. Also like someone whom I'd like to call a friend says when nobody's mind is gonna get changed and he has said all he's got to say on the subject... I'M DONEWillow do you know how hard it is not to post one of my "signature pictures" right now? I have a great one but out of respect to your wishes I will abstain. Have a good day .jpg)

Liberals have been calling conservatives & anyone who doesn't subscribe to the liberal lines & agenda "narrow minded" for decades. Repeated infinitely by the media, academia, Hollywood, etc either outrightly or implied, the notion has unfairly stuck. While all along the opposite is true. I have gotten so upset at the failings of my own supposed "conservative" leaders culminating with the Bush bunch that I actually had a small glimmer of hope that Obama would actually not be so bad. I have been greatly disappointed. It seems that not only is he just as liberal as suspected he has broken a major campaign promise by allowing all the pork earmarks in the so called stimulus bill go through. With the current make up of Congress, Obama has a near carte blanche ability to get what he wants & it seems from all I've seen so far he wants the whole liberal menu. This country was built upon sound conservative principles & has only gone arwy when those principles were deviated from too far. Some people don't have the guts or foresight to stick with the unpleasant conservative choices that sometimes must be made to keep the best system of governing ever known healthly. That's liberalism in a nutshell, just say yes to everything , damn the consequences. We as conservatives are going to have to clear our minds, cut through the inevitable din of liberal noise & derision poured on us and find a way to re-establish the principles that made this country the greatest ever.
