Just wondering how it worked out. I have an idea what I think they should give me but would like to
hear from others if you've dealt with them.

I am ready to fight for what I think is a fair price.

Thanks,

Popeye,

I had Farmers Insurance when a 17 yr old girl blew a stop sign and I broadsided her. But since I wasn't at fault, it was her insurance, State Farm, who had to ante up. They first offered me about 2 grand less than what my valk was worth. Even my dealer said they were about a thou short. I explained about all the chrome I had on mine, etc.
The lady said, "Sorry, but that is what we calculated to be a fair price."

Then I said, "Fine, please find me SEVERAL Valks at your fair price that are comparible to what mine was---because I want it replaced."

She stated that would take a little time and I said "Fine, call me in a couple days".

The next day she called and said, "Sir, we can't find an Interstate within a 50 miles of you---and not at that price."    I then said, "I was telling you the truth!!"
State Farm then came up the two grand and met my price.

Good Luck,

The adjuster will always come in way low.

It makes no matter which insurance company it is.   These adjusters work for several insurance companies.

My nephew was an adjuster till he went into the selling insurance game.  He retired at 53.    He gets checks from 3 insurance firms for his % of the renewal on these policies he sold every month.

The wife got hit in the door pillar at a stop sign runner.   His insurance company was Progressive.   Called them to see if it had been reported to them yet.  They said yes, but have been unable to get ahold of the driver for his side of the story, asked if they had the accident report, she said yes.   I said fine, I'll turn it over to my insurance coverage and let the 2 of you battle it out after my company settles with me.

She made me an offer of $12,500, on our 04 Infiniti I35, with under 40,000 miles.  Blue book was 13,900, for a middle of the road one, this is retail.   I knew the super clean one was 17,500, told her she was 9,000 low, she offered 14,500, told he no, I wanted no less than 19,000.  She agreed, plus paid the Dr visit, and a $1,000 for pain and aggravation, and a rental car.   So we took it.  Bought her a Toyota Highlander as she wanted an SUV with 4 wheel drive.

SO is as happy as a pig in a mudhole with her Toyota..
