After a crazy work week that started Sunday and ended late Friday night, I headed out Saturday morning for Midland to visit some West Texas cousins on my wife's side.  Weather was nice and cool with very little wind.  Man-oh-man it felt good to get on the Valk...

Lunch at the Hard 8 in Brady was just spectacular.  I had skipped breakfast getting things together for the ride, so my appetite was mighty strong...

Those West Texas roads are long and straight.  You'll go miles and miles without seeing another soul...

That's one big John Deere...!

Sunday I took off with a couple of West Texas kin for a quick ride over to Big Spring.  Nothing but cotton, pump jacks and windmills.  You could actually see to the ends of the earth...

Three bikes with "boxer" style engines...

All in all a good weekend with some fine riding and some fun with family.  Hauled a$$ home Monday just in time to get back to the grind Tuesday.

Ride safe y'all! Smiley

If you didn't make the scene at The Stampede in Big Springs you have an great excuse to go back!

Just don't bump into anyone on the dance floor unless you are up to some really physical exercise with some really buff farm boys and ranch hands! Didn't help things any that I looked more like Cat Stevens than Roy Rodgers. Still thanking my cuz'ns for saving my bacon all these years later.

Thanks for sharing! Always enjoy your pics. ~Jeff
