alright, does anyone know the part number for the original factory cb mount that would go for the interstate?  having that part number would make it easier to do a parts search.  i know that the GL1200 will work, but i don't want to buy the antena, just need the mount.

Not available.  Have done the search.  None around.  I have found the number before, cannot seem to now.  NONE available.

GL1200 mount for cb can be modified.

if memory serves me right, the antenna base mount came with the CB kit and the antenna was a separate item.  Not available outside the kit.

This is correct.

Best way to go is to modify a GL1200 assembly though I'm curious as to why one of the aftermarket crew hasn't picked up on this yet and made an equivalent.
