Sure, of course it was in the year 911. Seriously I thought Jay Leno staged his Jay Walking bits. I have since come to the belief that there is no incentive in this country to NOT be a vegetable brain.

Those are thew same types of people that voted for hope and change. I feel the same way There should be a pretest before you are qualified to vote. This should be one of the questions

I feel the same way There should be a pretest before you are qualified to vote. This should be one of the questions I agree, Joseph, but I think a very simple pre-voting eligibility test would be best. Only one question is really needed: Will you be voting the way Willow votes?

Fellas, it has nothing to do with the current administration, the decline of knowledge has been happening for quite a while now. It is unfortunate that most people are oblivious to what is happening outside their own little world. My question is WHY? Is this an intentional act? A conspiracy? The product of lazy people? Poor teachers? poor curriculum? Or, is it a result of television? Could it be the fact that the news is more of a sitcom these days, and when reporting actual newsworthy events it is biased?
Personally I think it is a little of all of the above, and yes RJ, it is unfortunate that they BREED and VOTE. Jim

The "dumbing down" of our education system which IMO started in the '60s like sooo many of the bad ideas this country has embraced, has finally come to full power. Notice that jury verdicts have become a lot worse too? Taking the jury pools from D/L's rather than voter rolls maybe? Coincidence maybe? A big part of my brain thinks not.

I can get upset over our education system being less than what it should be. This isn't the fault of the system, these people were alive and watched it on tv. So did they just not care or did they forget? Maybe they just watched SpongeBob. At least I learned that it didn't happen in 2001 is was in 911.

hang on folks it might not be THAT bad, they said they were there for an hour. they only showed 7 interviews, and of course they wanted to show the WORST of the WORST interviewees (is that a word?)
I'm betting at least half the country knows it happened in 2001, or I'm hoping so.
I wish people would open a book or two, I know that when I got out of high school I was too busy to worry about advancing my edumacation but I've tried to make amends since.

Most people live in their own little world from day to day, caring little or nothing about politics or current events. They come home from work, eat, and flop down to watch their favorite sit-com, game show, or "reality" show. Most people are totally engrossed in self-gratification of one kind or another and that should happen almost immediately. They seem to care little about what is happening outside their own sphere of activity. Why else would there be such a low turnout at the elections?
Yes, I am certain that the interviews that were shown were "cherry picked". The American People are not as ignorant as portrayed. Some do not care about history or dates and others can hardly tell you their own name when confronted by a camera and a microphone. Until the last election, I had faith in the American People. Now, I am not so sure. Maybe my faith will be restored come November...JTL
