Hi!
I need to check the condition of an I/S radio and am wondering if I can simply unplug the one on my fellow rider's I/S and plug this one in its place.
Is it simply a plug and play ... or is there something to reset, to watch for, etc?
Thanks!

I believe they are.  I have had mine out while working on my bike.  I think I took it completely off the wiring harness and when put back in there was no reset needed.  Should be able to swap with another for testing purpose with no hitch.  I have a cd changer in mine also, I did not unwire its soldered connections, but the rest was completely disassembled when I repaired my starter drive idler gears.

Yes, they are plug & Play.
You should not have any issues at all.

Cheers,
