I'd love to, but gotta head back up to Yankee land around noon.  I did get my mountain ride fix in this afternoon, though.  I headed out at 3:00pm and went through the country to the Foothills Parkway.  I crossed the Parkway, rode the Dragon, and continued on through the Hellbender.  I bailed off of 28 @ 19 and took it through Bryson City into Cherokee.  I came over Newfound Gap, bypassed Gatlinburg and straight into a logjam of a car show in Pigeon Forge.  I took the Dollywood bypass around Pigeon Forge and made it to about 5 miles from our motel and the severe thunderstorm hit me.  Cars were pulling off the road due to the rain, lightning, and high winds and I did too, for a few seconds.  I couldn't find any shelter, so I headed on up the road.  Eventually I spotted an empty carport in a business and ran the bike in there.  My wife called and then came and picked me up.  My bike is still sitting at Eagle Detailing on 441 between Sevierville and Seymour.  As soon as this rain stops, I am going to go get her.  I'll let you know when we are coming back down.  I believe it is the weekend of Oct. 8 & 9.  I saw 2 other Valks while on the Dragon.  The first was a yellow/creme, maybe T-Bird?

For the longest time I always thought " The " Detn8er would bring the rain when he would come ride with us. When he stopped coming to ride I thought maybe it was me that made it rain the whole time....Now I know it's you that brings the rain to the hood  Wink That loop you took is one of my favorite day rides in the mountains...Wish we could have hooked up this time my yankee friend I worked on two cars today between the turd floaters...Hope you make The Fall Color Ride this year Dave  cooldude

If I didn't have the ST1300 sitting in the garage with the front forks off I'd be there.

Instead I'll be slip sliding the forest roads somewhere in N GA on the KLR

Damn Joe!  We were in Tellico Plains today for lunch.  I looked for you under the cover in back of the Exxon around 12:30.  We ate at that new place next door....I wasn't impressed.

Sorry I missed you.
