Hello:
I read recently that a Honda Pilot oil filter will fit the Valkyrie and is about half price. Has anyone confirmed (tried) this? What year Pilot? In Nova Scotia all m/c parts are expensive so just looking to save a few dollars without compromising quality. Thanks.

Not sure on the Honda Pilot but here's a link from Shop Talk that lists several options found at the local Auto Shop and even Wal-Mart for reference.

Scroll down to the middle left side of the page.

Hope that helps.

I think it will fit as far as the threads & sealing gasket but the metal body is larger.  Cool

You are correct.
The honda part# is 15400-PLM-A01A
I usually get my filters here.
Quality filters, although you may get different brands each time,so if they have a brand you like buy a couple at once.
The honda part# listed is the longer style filter.
I received nippon on my last order.
Looks like a super high quality filter, comes with a seal on the open end.

Here's an interesting link for oil filter info:
http://www.tobycreek.org/oil_filters/index.shtml

Personally, I use K&N on all my stuff.  In addition to being a good filter, there is a hex on the end that make removal very easy.  It comes painted or chromed.  Normally the chrome filter is a next day order from the local Autozone.

I'm using the PureOne PL14610 also.  Comes in black or yellow!

Purolator Pure One PL14610 on both Valk and VTX.  Although I do admit to getting some chrome filters from HDL awhile back and might get some more of those for the Valk (beings it shows).
