I hang out here all the time but rarely do I post, but now I have a question. I am going to order a front tire a Metzler 880 from Motorcycle Superstore and was wondering if anyone knows if these tires were made in Germany or Brazil. I have heard rumors that I want to stay away from the ones made in Brazil. I put 14 thou on the last 880 (made in Germany)on my 98 Standard .  Any ideas? Thanks Raymond

The Metzlers I bought from Dennis kirk less than a year ago say made in Germany, Got 4800 miles out of the rear tire, Not sure how much worse one made in Brazil would be. Could be my driving style or the flat straight roads in Il. YMMV. Glad you got some mileage out of yours.

I don't know if it means anything, but I bought an ME880 this past May for my H-D from Bike Bandit, and it was "Made in Germany".

And for what its worth, my H-D puts out 100HP and 100+ torque, and I always get 10K + on the rear, and around 16K + on the front. It's my tire of choice and I like them better than the Dunlop E3 on my Interstate.  Smiley

I have gotten 14 plus out of the front and it seemed to be alot quieter on the valk than the Dunlop E3 I had before. Im a Dark Sider so I just need a front for now.  I appreciate all the in put. For the price 130$ and free shipping I will go ahead and order from Motorcycle Superstore today.  Raymond

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I have always gotten decent mileage from Metzelers.  About 9000-10000 our of a rear and 14000 - 15000 out of a front.  I am a darksider now.  Still running Metz's on both the IS and the Standard.  Although my Standard will be ready for a new one this off season.
