Looks like a newer part. I may go buy one and measure it, to compare it to a valk unit.

found this site about all of the "staked-in" U-Js used by the manufactures now.
Instructions on how to fix and install new UJs are also on the site.

That is how I replaced mine. I hope the new part number is a stronger unit. I did see on the CRV fourm they are also talking about joint failure, this is their solution for replacement. I hope it is a better quality unit.

sodbuster...all gold wing 1500 : years: 1988-2000 inclusive, and all vallllkyrie 1500 : years: 1997-2003 inclusive use the same u-joint: # 40200-mzo-a00

Yup .... that is the
superseded
part number. At one time they were NOT the same.

The guy at the shop that just did mine said the inside clips won't work because the inside earholes on the yokes are at an angle (not perpendicular) to the joint caps, therefore not enough flat area to keep them in place. That is why he spot welded the caps to the yoke.
