I rode with Klaus since 1975, knew him longer. It was because of him and the Decatur Avenue Crew in The Bronx I bought a 1975 750 Four Honda. Klaus was a great mechanic, Steam Fitter and a True Friend. We called ourselves "The Tulips" after the Dick Van Dyke episode when Dick got a scooter.
I loved the man. I still do. He passed quietly in his sleep at 57 years old, much too young. I was lucky enough to be camping with him this Labor Day week end as we did every year since 1975. He still rode, a 1800 VTX. He did not teach me how to ride, but he did teach me how to ride it like i stole it!

Tulips Forever, Forever Tulips!

Sorry for your loss, Bonzo.  You're right, 57 is much too young.

My condolences also.

I am 57 and if I could choose my death, it would be on my Valk or while having relations with my wife.

Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers.  Live life and enjoy it! Keep in touch with old friends and family so you have no regrets latter. We burried Klaus today and we had no regrets, we will miss him, but we had all just been together and had a blast. He is in a far better place now.

death is never easy.  remember the good times, you'll smile when you do.  57 is a bit young, but death waits for no one.  when it's time, it's time.

my thoughts are with you.
