Craftsman tools are replaceable when they break (and they will).

and they have their own bike:

What? They don't offer the Allstate anymore? Explains why I haven't been in a looooooooong time.

First bike I had was a Sears 106 . I was 12 or 13 and my ol'man said if he caught me on the road with it , it would be gone . He caught me on the road and sold it . That really did'nt bother me too much since it was  a piece of s**t and I hated it.We worked on it just about as much as we rode it. Few weeks later he bought me a Harley 90 I loved that little bike and always made sure he would'nt catch me on the road with it  Cool

My first bike was a Sears 106.  It was junk.

Yet another reason...

Sears pays the difference in salaries and maintains benefits for their called-up military reservist employees.

Yep, Sears stands behind the 'Craftsman' brand, almost to a fault.  My parents used to have an axxillary furnace on their home in Eau Claire WI.  Every Thanksgiving, My brother and his family, along with me and mine, would head there for the holiday weekend.  One of the things that was a given, was that we would help dad split a few cords of wood, to last the winter.  In one day, we returned, for free replacement, 3 wood handle splitting muls...  Nothing wrong with them when we started, just missed the log a time or two, and cracked the wood handle below the head.  Each time (all within a Saturday), the same clerk just shook his head, and handed us another  Roll Eyes

Hey Joe...  That HD 90 was one I had my eye on too.  Started off with a HD 65cc Legaro.  Not much of a dirt bike, but my brother and I tore up the fields of my grandmothers farm, in Milford MI, with the Legaro.  Another kid in the area had an HD 90, and he was 'cool'...  Soon after we started going to the Yamaha dirt bikes (175cc, or better yet the 250cc DT).

Here is a stock pic of the old Legaro...  Good memories  Wink

I tell ya Sears has gotten terrible about returning items, and most of all they don't want to even replace faulty parts under warranty. I've been trying to get some cables for my workout machine for the past 4 weeks and the manufacture of the machine says call Sears they handle that. Yeah right, I cant even get a response for Sears at all, it's one of those 800 #'s and cant ever talk to anybody. I don't think I'll shop at Sears anymore.

Don't call the 800 #. Call your local srore and ask to speak to the ganeral manager. He/she will make it right I am sure. Talking to Andy in Pakistan wil get you know where.

Misfit is right in his suggestion.

My grandmother, (bless her soul) gave me a socket set when I turned 16.    That was 60 years ago, last September.    Last week when I was using the ratchet the ratcheting gears went out of it for the 2nd time.     Went into my local Sears store with the ratchet in hand, I just wanted the gears, I did not want to break up this set.

The sales lady grabbed a new ratchet, then said I'll take theold one, told he no, I wanted the old ratchet, gave her my reason, and she said, you are entitled to the new ratchet, now if you want new gears for the old one go back to parts with it..........

I took the new ratchet, went back to parts, he looked at it and said I don't know but I will check.

About 2 hours ago, I got a call that my parts were in.  Ran over to the store, picked em up and totally expecting to pay for the gears.  Walked out the door with only a thank you to the store.

Came home, put in the new gears and it works like a champ again, plus I have another ratchet to add to my collection.

I'll be using SEARS in the future.......   Trust me......
