Sorry, but I'm already spoken for on that weekend. I'll be here: http://www.wwwildbunch.com/index.htmlOnly match I've made it to for each of the past several years and a lot of fun with good people. If you make it down that far, feel free to stop in and spectate a while. The range is on the left side just over the top of the hill after crossing the Black River bridge on southbound WI Hwy 35, north of Holmen, and there will be a fairly large sign at the turnoff.

If I can talk my neighbor into going (he has a Standard), there will be three of us from Eau Claire.
I don't think you could pick a better spot to ride, especially with the leaves changing. Alph and I were out yesterday and two weeks from now the leaves should be at peak. Can't wait!

Seriously, I'm planning to make this ride as the Slimey Crud run is out. Something came up and cancelled that plan. Too bad, as this Sunday looks like 60's and sunny.

Dang, that looks just like my bike with the SuperValk reversed for fall riding (extra lights for visibility), right down to the silver full face on the seat. I may have to "tag" mine somehow so we don't mix them up. Mine's an Aria helmet, will that help?

Friday the 8th is showing 59 and sunny, perfect for a northern boy (especially with the heated liner, gloves, and grips all turned on).

Friday the 8th is showing 59 and sunny, perfect for a northern boy (especially with the heated liner, gloves, and grips all turned on). I rode 65 miles in to work yesterday AM in 36 degrees. 59 is downright BALMY! Can't wait for this ride, the leaves are going to be outstanding.

Just got back from 1500m. in 44 hrs. Was to be 36hrs but changed plans. Jerry this "sounds like a Great Ride" & I think If any body could possibly make it they should as this is some beautiful country. Sorry Mich. Riders and the club, but the 10 year anniv. run in Mich. I thought was nothin compared to what we have here in Wi. Just no compareison at all. & I'm by fare not t5he only one that thinks so. How ever as much as I would like to come allong I dont know if I can as I have an event in Arcadia at supper time that I cannot miss. Maybe I'll try to swing at least a couple of hrs. That would give a afternoon cat nap. Need to get the wife out , going to Buffalo City Resort for fish fry that wife won on poker run. will post my 1500m. run tonight or tomarrow.

Rode 270 miles today with "POPS 57" through Prescott and down WI 35 and inland. had lunch at "Hansons Holdup" http://www.hansensholdup.com/ A GREAT biker spot. make sure to use the kickstand pads or you will hear about it! sumac is turning to already red in most areas. all of the gold and red maples are in peoples yards as no wild maples in this area. trees are turning, to yellow in most areas but still a lot of green, with the frost expected tonight it should be good color next Saturday. Maybe Ebony Red will post where he plans to stop for lunch so people can meet up there also. T.P.

There are fantisc runs all over the place in that country A off 10 going north is great but not as going south 88 is great as 95. Great views wherever you look espically any back country road. Hansons Hold-up has a pretty nice view but is not real biker friendly as I get bad vibs from bikers & two area tavern owners. That is why I did not contact them for our ABATE Region summer poker run.

i'm really looking forward to this ride!! got my CB all working, and tuned!! got my radar detector mounted (made a custom stainless steel bracket, just have to polish it up)!! should be a real nice "colorful" day!!
Nitro, we've got to get Vic to come along!! he'll enjoy it!!
just looked at the forcast, 70 and sunny!! the best fall colors occure when there is a frost, and atleast two weeks of dry weather, we should be having some excellent colors!!

In fact the people that run Hansons, his name is GUY and his wife's name is Nancy. they do know that the bikers and the car clubs are the ones bringing in the money. just make sure to use the kickstand pads and everything will be OK.

I've stopped at Hansen's many times and continue to enjoy doing so. We were there last Tueday. As TP said use the kick stand pads. Its likely he'll thank you for doing so, but you'll hear about it if you don't. The owner told me he gets around 75% of his business from bikes and car clubs. In fact he is currently closing out his inventory for the year in preparation for the end of the riding season as they are closed over the Winter (and Mondays). The owner is "wound a little tight". He can be abrupt, especially when they are busy. He does things his way, but he can also be quite cordial and even has a sense of humor. If you have a thin skin this may trouble you.

Here's the deal. Wisconsin Hwy 95 running from Fountain City to Arcadia is composed of 15 miles of the nicest sweepers you'll find anywhere. Eleven miles in is Hansen's Holdup. It offers one of the most SPECTACULAR views in the upper midwest. That being an overlook of the coulees of Trempealeau County. The food is good, the prices are reasonable, the decor is unique. All in all, well worth tolerating the eccentricities of the owner. If you are ever in the area, I urge you to stop in. I wager a beverage of your choice you'll agree with me.

I will put together a Wisconsin, Minnesota VRCC lunch and ride event there next summer. I will contact the WI rep to GET-R-DONE. T.P. http://www.hansensholdup.com/The owner does encourage burnouts in front of the place, so he cant be all that bad......can he? email sent to KAZ we will send out mass emails to the event.

T.P. I have been there three times myself and have also had no troubles. ( I did use the kickstand pads however thinking its was more for our bikes than his parking lot). If you plan that trip count me in I'll be there. Last time I saw you was at Famous Dave a couple of years ago (Maple Grove).

we just had a abate meet sun & those guys confirmed that that they do not want Hansens Hold-up on the run next year. Suposedly he has a concrete pad to park biks on and then wont keep the cars off the pad and gets winny about the pads then. This is what I hear. Personally I 've only been there once and didn't have a problem but his addatude is bitting him in the rear. When The word is spread what he is like people dont want to go there. It wont mean squat if we do a run and stop there. His attitude has to change to make an impact.

Some of your intel is incorrect. The entire parking lot is tar. No concrete. The pads are everywhere. He is whinny about the pads. If that's a deal killer so be it.

Look at the photo of the parking lot. You see any concrete there? And no its not my dream. Evidently someone in your group has a problem with the guy. I understand how that could happen and I'm not trying to convince you to go there.
