I'm trying to locate a final drive but don't know what is a fair price.

Also, has anyone installed Gold Wing final drive gears in a Valk?

Goldwing gears will not fit the Valkyrie final drive.

Go to the classified's with your "wanted" request.

Bad final drives are for what you are willing to pay!

Well, I'm sure RJ told me the gears were the same , the housing is different.

No, I won't go to want ads with a tech question

If I wanted a bad final drive I'd just take the grease out of the one I have.

It used to be easy to find decent ones for $300 or less... less of them seem to be showing up
lately...

Rick, I apologize for being snippy.  The Tech board is no place for sand box outbursts.

Mike, I have one you can use until you can find one. I'm up the northside of houston. I can't sell it to you cause my bike has 121k on it and I like having a spare and with this milage on the bike  You are more than welcome to use it until you find one thou.

That's mighty neighborly of you, Mr B.
There's still some meat on my drive spines but the wear is obvious and  I figure the  time to start looking for a replacement is before the need is critical.  A Hill Country Harley rider has given me a possible lead,  one of those friend-of-a friend deals. I have to know what to offer him if I can make contact.

I appreciate your offer, though.  cooldude

Mike, I stole mine off ebay for 178 dollars including shipping and it came with the hub to boot. It was said to only have 16 thousand miles on it. It did have one small scrape on it but concidering it was going on an interstate a would not be visible I didn't mind the ding. If you don't get one give me a shout.

Good price. I got one off e-bay for $281.00 delivered. Of course It was the hole swing arm and all. Only thing I didn't get was the u-joint.
