I talked to Miss Reba this morning at The Phillips Motel and she has " SOLD OUT " the entire place for our ride  cooldude  She also said " I've called and ordered a couple loads of fire-wood cause I know that group that comes to ride with Smokin'joe likes to hang out around the fire at night "   Smiley  . I also talked to the San-Ran just down the road (walking distance ) and they had ( 2 ) double rooms left as of this morning for friday 10-15 and saturday 10-16.The next place is the Microtel Inn I did not talk to them so I have no idea if they have any rooms  Undecided  . Folks that are coming remember if you want alcoholic beverage of any kind you must bring it with you as Robbinsville , North Carolina is DRY.

But most of your guests for the ride won't be dry.

Beer or otherwise.

Hope the dry weather holds out though.

Still, I am ready to go.

Hey Joe,

I spoke with Reba yesterday and she told me the same thing. We got the effiiency apartment, (whatever that is) but it has a king sized bed in it Wink
Not sure where to stop to bring some brews along though, since we are comming down the BRP. Petra will need to hold them, seeing the way she packs everything except the kitchen sink (she'd pack that too, but shoes are more important)  Grin Grin Grin

I will figure it out.

Cant wait, as you always say "Lets ride"

If you come off The Blue Ridge Parkway into Cherokee you can get all type's of alcoholic beverage in Bryson City. That will be your best bet as thats about as close as you can get to Robbinsville before you hit the DRY county.

FYI......Thought I'd put this out there from Sludge....

It seems I have a room or two available at my cabin if anyone is interested.  If I recall right, each cabin has 3 bed rooms right?  So I have 2 available.  The guys that work for me were going to come down and share them and they have all backed out... wussies!  PM me if your interested.
Oh, and I will be out of town for pretty much the rest of the week it seems.  So I may not reply immediately if you try to contact me.

Well, according to the guy I just spoke with at the SanRan, they are sold out too.

Just called Microtel. Got 2 rooms there.  cooldude They still have some available and got a discount for the Smokin' Joe ride.  My in-laws are planning to come with us. Can't wait. I have wanted to do the FCR for the past few years. Hope nothing falls apart between now and then.

Prices at Microtel were $95 for 2 queen beds and $85 for 1 queen bed. The lady said it's within walking distance to the Phillips Motel.

Ice,
Tell me your brand and I'll pack a case or two on the back of the Big Red Land Elephant.  I've got more room than I know what to do with when I ride.  I always seem to be the pack elephant.

Joe, has Paul decide yet whether he's coming or not?  No Tennessee game that weekend.

I have a 3 bedroom cabin @ the Phillips Motel.  Still have one bedroom open - $50 a night.  First one to let me know they want it can have it.  I (and my wife if she comes) have one bedroom, Santa has the other.  No smokers please!
