All you riders in surrounding Ky. need to look into the " WORLD EQUESTRIAN GAMES" being in Lexington. You will not have a chance in your life time to see such magnificent animals preform in our present time and close to home. I. E. in the United States.. The GAMES ARE SEPT.25---OCT.10. Check out www.alltechfigames.com
I don`t think any rooms are available close to Lexington. They expect about 600,000 folks for the games. Wife and I rode to the Horse Park last week and saw how LARGE this event is.  Beware , there will be large numbers on the highways.  Wink Hope some can attend, as this is once in a life time event for the USA.\

My son lives in Lexington and considered taking a vacation and leasing out his home for the event, I understand that they are getting big money for just a week. But he changed jobs so no vacation time for a while. I'm sure I would enjoy the events but not sure I could cope with the traffic and crowds. A UK basketball game is enough to keep me out of town to avoid the crowds, that is unless I have tickets.
