Well, we made the national news!!  Nitro and I went out riding today to check out the flood damage, and came across “The Waters Edge” bar, literally!!  Buffalo River flows right behind this bar along hwy 37 south of Mondovi.  Apparently, this bar holds up to it’s name!!  There was this one section down by the Mississippi river that had mud washed across the road, you could tell they had at least 6 inches of mud crossing in that one spot, we didn’t stop for pictures.  Maybe Sunday we’ll take more.

We spent Thursday night away from the house due to the river rising.  The bike is still visiting a friends house, and I have some cleanup to do on the lawn as the river pulls back.   At least the buildings stayed dry.  The only real damage we had was to the kids swingset, and some other little items.  Lost a few lawn chairs and a bunch of firewood.  I think we gained some firewood as well.

I wanted to make the ride in Prescott today, but that just couldn't happen.

Here are some more from this morning. This is the on the campus of UW-Eau Claire. Normally there is a bike trail there some place...

This road was closed, but I rode around the barricade. The water was running over the road and about 5" deep.

And, yes, I road through it!

Wow...  Know that area well, and was wondering how bad things were.

My folks used to live just outside of EauClaire on hwy37 (just down the road from the Mug n Shot)...  Traveled down a few of those roads, on the way to many fishing destinations.

Thanks for posting the pictures  cooldude

Just when the highway straightened out for a mile
And I was thinkin' I'd just cruise for a while
A fork in the road brought a new episode
Don't you know...

Conform, go crazy, or ride a motorcycle...
