I had not checked the splines since installing the car tire 2 years and 10,000 miles ago.  I removed the differential and drive shaft, checking and cleaning everything.  Thrust washer still good, changed all 3 o-rings, looks like the Belray waterproof grease is doing a good job, so used it again.  There are a lot of brackets and chrome things still off and in need of polishing yet but she will be good to go to Maggie Valley in a couple of weeks.

Cleaned the weep holes out and regreased the shaft both ends with Belray.  Tightened the 4 nuts on the shaft tube last.  Looks like we won't see y'all at the FCR.  I have to come back to work on the 15th.  We will be in Maggie Valley  Oct 9-14.

Maybe we could ride up to Maggie on saturday the 9th and do lunch ...Could take a ride up The Blue Ridge Parkway and loop back into Maggie after lunch.

Probably around 4 or so.  Sunday might be doable for lunch somewhere in the middle..........  We will probably have a couple of Harley buds with us.
