This is a 1914 Jefferson from Jefferson Wisconsin motorcycle builder.

It had overhead valves and could do the crazy speed for then of 78MPH.

Ahead of it's time in many ways, even without a tranny.

One of the many lost to History.

This bike was restored by the Great Grandson of one of the companies bike builders.

He found out about the bikes after his grand father passed on and had to have one of these.

This is his.

Here are some more forerunners of the motorcycles we ride today.

If they had just turned these four cylinders in a side by side configuration, transverse to the frame.

They would have made a mint.

Indian Four, Henderson Four, Cleveland Four, Pierce Fourpowered by Aeva

interesting handle bar arangment.  i would slip off of it holding them that way!!
