First of all I rode to work on the Valkyrie so its sorta Valk related now

Yesterdays post on Steve Wright reminded my twisted mind about this great comic

He died tragically I think in a car accident near vegas

The first one is a David Letterman 1st appearance and is suitable for all ages

Sam Kinison First Appearance on Lettermanpowered by Aeva

this one however tells it like it is so if you dont like swear words dont open it
It is an appearance at Rodney's club around the same time.

Sam Kinison and Rodney Dangerfieldpowered by Aeva

I was still doing divorce work in those days and he just totally broke me up with his honesty

Hope you enjoy them and if you have more please post em

On April 10, 1992, six days after he married his girlfriend Malika Souiri, Sam Kinison died after his white 1989 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am was struck on U.S. Route 95, four miles (6 km) north of Interstate 40 and several miles west of Needles, California, by a pickup truck driven by a 17-year-old male who had been drinking alcohol. His wife survived the accident. Kinison was later found to have traces of cocaine, prescription tranquilizers, and codeine in his bloodstream.

Kinison is interred with family members at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His grave marker includes an unattributed quote, "In another time and place he would have been called prophet."

Thanks for the post Oss. Sam is one of my all time favorites. Along with Steven Wright, Richard Pryor, Ed Skelton, Tim Conway, Carol Burnette, Harvey Korman, Flip Wilson and Bill Cosby. Some people are just flat out funny.

Thanks again for the post,

Mark

I sat across the table from him and his crew one night at Big Al's in Peoria Il. after one of his shows, He was just as crazy off the stage as he was on. very funny guy. I still crack up when I think about sending U-hauls to Ethiopia.

Sam Kinnison was a preacher.  He actually preached once in a small church in Exeland Wisconsin, about 40 miles north of were I grew up.  I find it quite funny that, just change the words a little and a preacher can resemble a stand up comedian!!
