Thinking of attending, considering picking up something for CC, and do double duty in the house....just in case. I have a new friend whose I/S I recently cured of carb problems, he works for Dept. of Corrections here in Fla. and is quite a handgun person. He has a number of them, shoots competitively, repairs weapons plus loads his own ammo. I also believe I recall him saying he does...or did, instruct as well. Think I might give him a call and see if he would tag along on an advisory basis. He did suggest that if I was serious about buying something, I ought to stick with a revolver. Less likely to cause mechanical problems, said the action is simple and positive.

Good luck on your choice or choices for a CCW.  While there is something to be said for revolvers, as your friend suggested, it is a personal choice that you should consider carefully.  Of course you could always get another gun  and have a little variety (revolver and semiauto).... but see if he will take you out and share some shooting experiences with his weapons and let you try em.  But make up your own mind about what will fit and serve you best.  I have a few different favorites actually, some I like better for different things.  I went to the range tonight and plinked a new red dot in on my Ruger MKIII.  I need to get a spotting scope tho..... put quite a few hundred yards on my feet walking to see the target and making adjustments.   Again... good luck.

Guns are better than women.
If you admire a man's gun, chances are he'll let you shoot it.

An old friend once told me that there are two things a Man should never loan out....his truck or his woman, cause they're liable to throw a rod in both of them!!..... cooldude
