I didn't realize there was a "south" in 1776. I thought we were one group of citizens led to fight for freedom as a new nation.
It is certainly a good opinion of history, but not quite "good history"-kinda has a sour grapes tone, IMHO.

No sour grape, just real truth. Not taught at your local public school. The victor gets to write the histoy books.
