This 2 yo 185 lb black bear was on Dillon Road that I will take up into the mtns. tomorrow. It had apparently been hit by a car overnight and was put to sleep this morning. It is the easternmost siting of a black bear in CA (150 miles east of Los Angeles). Down near rural residential area,
I know some of you see these around sometimes, but I sure don't want to have to go swerving around one.
Couple years ago a man and his wife two-up on a Goldwing hit a bear cub up on The Cherohala Skyline...He was killed and she was seriously hurt ....I never heard if she made it or not
