Boy did I ride the heck out of those folks

Met them at 10am and it was chilly out at the Ramapo River boat access ramp where 17/17A and 106 come together and we started off with 3 passes thru Route 106, then thru the Seven Lakes Parkway to the top of Perkins Memorial Drive.  There was a nice wind and almost whitecaps on the lakes and at the top was a great view of NYC

From there we went down Bear Mtn and to Fort Montgomery where there was a renactment going on so we were stopped by british red coat and green coat soldiers.  I busted thru and made it with them to the Colonial's side and we walked down to where the cannons are  a 32 pounder and some lesser cannon.  That was a whole lot of fun.

Then we crossed Bear Mtn bridge and rode down the Goat Trail to 9 and up to the Stadium for lunch
Sat right next to Bill White's Golden Glove and had a nice lunch. Big azz burger sweet potato fries and onion rings Sorry no food pics.

From there down to the Annsville Circle and UP the Goat trail and then 9D north to Cold Spring Harbor then thru the Tunnel (beep beep) and from there Skyhawk went on to Newburgh and we went south to 301 east, thru Fahnstock Park to Peekskill Hollow Road to the Taconic

Dont think the others enjoy the windy fast Taconic as much as I do but it was only 10 minutes then off at Underhill to take 129 to the Croton Dam  both top and bottom then stopped here at home to let them use the facilities (or as they called it in 1770 the necessary).  Led them all right to 287 a mile east of the TZ bridge at 4 and with luck they should be home by  dark

Always a pleasure spending time and sharing wind with my VRCC family

Safe winds everyone

Good seeing you Kevin good luck with the new homestead.
Skyhawk nice meeting you also welcome to the club!!

So we were stopped by some guy's in funny colored suits by they weren't messing with guy's that rode in on the BIG STEADS!!

When they saw us coming we were put in charge of the BIG GUN that kicked the British ships ass as they came up the river.

Just had to feel the power between my legs!!!

Even had one so the girls could have fun too.

At the top of Bear Mountain we ran into some guy's that were heading to an antique bike and contraption show.

All in All was a good day of riding in the Great State of NY ending at the falls near OSS'S house.

I love my Pumpkin this time of year!!!!!!

Yep it was a great ride today. I made it home about 5:45 right before some showers came through.
It was good seeing everyone..The Taconic Parkway was certainly a thrilling  ride.

Glad you enjoyed the Taconic Parkway.  It is a different kind of challenge for sure coolsmiley

During rush hour the speed of traffic can hit 80 on a road designed for 50

It really was the only way to get from Peekskill Hollow rd to Underhill without getting you home after dark, and it was less than 10 miles.

Nice pics but Robin you should be sitting on the cannon facing the other way, that 32 pounder could leave quite a mark if it goes off  lol
