Did my 4 days in Arkansas with 2 Harleys, 1 yamaha and me and my Tourer with the interstate tank.  .   No one had any major trouble, my starter switch missed a beat a couple times but made me home, already got a new one to install, From Houston spent the first night in Hot Springs, Ark.   Big motorcycle rally in Fort Smith area (heard there was gonna be 450,000 there but I find that hard to believe) and a big Corvette Rally in Eureka Springs so hotels all over the NW of Arkansas were hard to find.   From Hot Springs we ran hyway 7 up North and stayed in Branson Missouri (went to the show called "TRIBUTE TO THE EAGLES" which was a very good band playing all Eagles music......not fantastic but pretty darned good) then ran hyway 21 back down to stay in Mena, ARk, think we got the last 2 rooms there....ha.   Then back to home Sunday.   Got in some good riding , ate some great food, spent some time with good friends.....awe....life is good.

I've been through those areas, very nice.   Also had some issues with my starter switch.  Ended up taking it apart cleaned the contacts up with some soft steelwool & used a small amount of battery terminal grease and put it back together.  Been working ever since.

If your visit was this past weekend, 1-3 Oct., the Bikes, Blues, and BBQ was going on in Fayetteville, Ar. If there wasn't 450,000 during the rally, it didn't miss it by much. We rode up there on Sat. and you couldn't hardly find a place to park. You could not walk on the sidewalks for the crowds. We have been to the last 2 or 3 events, and I would have to say that there were more bikes there this year than any of the previous years.

Sounds Great. Rt 7 is one of many of my favorite rides. Arkansas has many good riding roads. Glad you made it safely. As for the starter switch, has anyone ever cleaned it by spraying with WD40 and thus not having to take it apart? I have used this method on many electrical switches and it has worked great.
