Help,  We are in the middle of a ride with friends in Las Vegas and needed to replace our helmets. Long story. I am about to take delivery on a pair of new Nolan N103 helmets with the J&M 629 elite headsets.  I have always wanted to have good communication system for my co-pilot and me.  Previous posts convinced me to go for the J&M systems.  The problem is how do I get the intercom system to work without having the radio playing?  I don't have the new helmets yet (arriving Saturday) and the owners manual is not much help.  I can get the headset icon to display on the instrument screen but the radio still plays through the speakers.  I'd like to have no music and only conversation with my co-pilot.  How do I do that??

Thanks for any help,
Stilt

Without looking, I believe it is the 2nd from the left, upper row switch.  Toggle thru until all else is turned off.  Watch the display.  A set of headsets means you are on headset sound.  Toggle until display does not have a radio frequency displayed.

2nd from the left will allow you to turn on volume and adjust volume. The button on the left end above mic Lever will allow you to choose if you want the radio and CB on with intercom. Try each of those ... Continue to click to scroll thru your options.

Power of suggestion. It is the top second button from right (not left) that allows you to select the intercom volume. It is the button above the mix lever that allows turning off the cb & radio. Sorry... Hope you've been able to use your intercom.
