several questions
1.  Got a new tank - exchange of Standard for Interstate.    The tank has some shavings in it from drilling a hole for the belly tank install and welding in the bung for the belley tank install.   I can shake out the shavings through the fuel sender hole, but was wondering if there is a good way to clean out the tank.  Its never had gas in it.  Anything elase you would do if you had a brand new tank to do it to  Grin
2.  I have velocity stacks, will I need to raise tank in some way to clear them?  What do you recommend?  I did get the larger washer to raise the front of the tank already.
3.  I have a mototsens guage in a box.  Can it be hooked up to the fuel sending unit for the interstate tank?    Where would I get a fuel sending unit for the tank?  (I checked Ebay... no go)
hey thanks guys (and gals)

i've got an old fuel pump off of my old ford ranger.  it had gotten holes in the line that goes out to the fuel line.  i'm sure if you get to an auto salvage yard you'll be able to find one pretty cheap.  if not, let me know and i'll get you one.

BigBF sells the spacer to raise the tank for the stacks.

Yes, the motosens and gauge work, I love mine on my standard!  Get a new unit from Honda.  HDL or vendor of your choice.

Thanks.  I'll get a new one.  I did see a Goldwing GL1500 one on Ebay but don't know if that would fit.

I'm having trouble finding the sending unit for the interstate tank.  really, I don't know what year my tank is, but it shouldn't matter, I would think they used the same sending unit for all the years.    I searched Hondaline, but they are not listing the sending unit for sale.  Does anyone have the parts #'s I need or have one for sale?  Thanks,
Mike

Looks like you would need items 18, 26, and 29.

I would take soap and water and a hose and wash it out real good then drain out all the water put some alcohol or dry gas flush it around and drain that out then take either a air hose or shop vac and let them pull the air through for awhile. As a grand finally take some gas and flush and drain. Tanks usually have some fine particles in them besides what the work you did put in there.

That is correct.  Except I believe the gasket comes with the sender, but has a seperate part # so can just order a gasket if needed.
