My son and granddaughter came down to visit. My granddaughter announced that she was going for a motorcycle ride with grandpa. I gave her her choice of bikes, she said the "black one" (my I/S) but after a trial fit... she is too small to be on the back of that bike for now, so we swapped for the Vmax, she fits that better, feet on the pegs and close back rest, she is 6 years old, tall for 6 but not tall enough for the valk. She has been on the max before, and loves to ride. So off we went, As I pulled out on to the highway and throttled up it hiccuped a few times, hmm, must be that old gas I figured, looked at the fuel light, everything OK. so we kept going. Well, we were on some old farm roads running the 35mph twistys and then it happened... ran out of gas... I shielded the panel from the sun and sure as hell,
the fuel light was on... oh well no big deal we'll call grandma and have her bring us some gas. As were were taking in the sites from the side of the road waiting for Joanne, My granddaughter looks and me and says... "grandpa, you know, some motorcycle guys check for gas before they go for a ride" I assured her it would be added to my pre-ride check list... Grin

My dad came down to visit also, his wife has never been on a motorcycle... ever... So I took her for a ride on the valk. She had a blast. She said it was on her "bucket list".

It was Jan. 09 first trip up to eastern Wash. to see the kids and grandkids. First long trip in my new 08 f105 that my wife bought me for Christmas 08. Went out to dinner and the granddaughter had to ride in Dampa's new truck, leaving the restraunt in the snow my daughter was gone in a heartbeat. Granddaughter wanted to know where her mom went? I said "She is way up in front of us, she just drives to fast. Grandduaghter replies (bless her heart) "Maybe Dampa's new truck is just to slow". Gotta love her.

Nice ride. And I thought I was the only V(alkyrie)Max rider here. I guess not!
