Skinhead is abso-positivelutley correct.
I have only had two, a very, very fast yellow/cream and now an even faster black/chrome.
I would not have believed it, but I have seen the light-and it is black! (must be the chrome)

Everyone knows the Red & Whites are the fastest.  They scared everyone with their awesome speed and power so they stopped making 'em after the first year.   angel

We let the riders of the plain blacks brag about how fast they are because we feel sorry for them.   Wink

Whatever color you are riding is the fastest.  coolsmiley

FYI, the fastest Valks were produced in late Dec of 2001 and sold as 2002 models. Honda made a limited run of experimental bikes. They started with the fast but plain looking black bikes and added a gorgeous bright red racing stripe. These special limited production Valks proved to be very fast, but do to the additional costs and liability concerns Honda produced very few. How many have you seen?

That's pretty fair mileage. If I keep mine under 3000 rpm, even two-up, I usually do a bit better. Best ever was 116mpg down hill in the mountains of southwest FL. I do believe you though!

I'm riding my second Yellow & Cream 99.  The first one I bought new and this one I bought 3 years ago next month.  I'm never the last guy there and I don't get passed unless its a spot bike. People are always amazed by the speed, power & size.

Unfortunately I must have mine waited down with chrome because I have never been able to get either one past the 120 mark ??  But I have been told my speedometer is wrong by more than one person.  I'm exactly 3000rpm @ 70 mph.

Any ideas???

There is no debating the absolute truth.  I've been told that red "skunk" stripe is actually the blood of those vanquished by the dragon.  Cheesy  Although she rarely sees speed well beyond the posted speed limit, my black with red stripe skunk begs to be unleashed.   coolsmiley

How many red stripe units were made?

Another absolute truth.   cooldude  I often ride my "skunk" to work and it never fails get attention.  My boss has even allowed and then asked me to park it out front because so many folks come in an want to know about the bike and who rides it.   Smiley  More than once I've been asked if it was for sale.  There are benefits to having a blood stripe.   Evil

Ya all speedos are off from true and differ from each other a little.  THe valk is not really going 70@3000rpms..  So you are really going less than 120 @ 120 indicated
